狮子在树下抓到一只正在睡觉的兔子，正想饱餐一顿，却又看到一只鹿从旁边经过，又贪心的丢下兔子去追鹿。
The lion caught a sleeping rabbit under the tree and was trying to have a good meal.However, he saw a deer passing by and greedily left the rabbit to chase the deer.
狮子追了很远，可是还是让鹿逃跑了，於是又赶回树下，但野兔早已不见纵影了。
The lion ran for a long time, but the deer ran away and returned to the tree, but the hare had already disappeared.
狮子很懊恼地说：我真是活该，因为贪心，反而两头落空。
The lion said ruefully: I really deserve it, because of greed, but the two ends fell.
此故事教育孩子：
做许多事不能持之以恒，三心两意，一会儿想做这，一会儿又想做那，到时候也是两头落空。不能从失败中记取教训的人，他们的成功之路是遥远的。
